About this cartoon...
Here is a cartoon logo design for a pet waste removal company, ‘Scoop It’. The client was looking for a fun and bold logo depicting a dog cartoon mascot with a bucket scoop over his shoulder.
With no specific breed of dog in mind, I created some rough pencil sketches. This allowed get a feel for the composition and try out various ideas. These ideas are then presented to the client, along with possible typeface suggestions.
When creating the rough pet waste removal logo, one design stood out to the client. This design had the text arcing over the top of the character and ending up in his scoop bucket. The descriptive strapline was also included underneath.
This design was assembled using Abobe Illustrator, arranging the elements for the best possible composition. Different colours were also tested, with the main indigo being a firm favourite.
A full version of the dog mascot character was also created so the client could use it for other branding purposes. This version has a hi-vis jacket and sturdy work boots. The client was very pleased with the end result – read their testimonial.
